About the Department

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (DPLM) is a vital and growing part of Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center (NCHRC), playing a key role in accurate cancer diagnosis and treatment planning. It contributes to detecting prognostic and predictive markers, recurrence, treatment failure, and disease persistence. The department is committed to delivering quality, ethical service through teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration. Our experienced pathologists work closely with other specialties and routinely consult international experts via telepathology. The department is fully equipped with modern, automated technologies, ensuring precise and timely diagnostics. Highly trained laboratory personnel support all operations. We uphold the highest standards through rigorous internal and external quality control systems. At DPLM, our mission is to provide the best care by maintaining excellence in service, promoting ethical practices, and embracing innovation to support patient care and effective cancer treatment at NCHRC.
