Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center (NCHRC) has organized a one-day Symposium on Thyroid and Head and Neck Pathology. The program is endorsed by the Nepal Medical Association for 4 NMA credits. This free scientific program was targeted to Head and Neck Surgeons, Pathologists, Radiologists, and Medical Oncologists and will begin with a lecture on current and future perspective in molecular testing in thyroid by Dr. Adele O. Kraft, Medical Director Cytopathology, Department of Pathology from the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA.
The program was open to the Nepali Medical fraternity to share our experience at NCHRC and current US experiences and learn about ongoing and upcoming scientific trends related to FNA and Thyroid Pathology. Consultants from NCHRC discussed interesting cases in thyroid pathology, and similarly interesting head and neck surgical cases and Dr. Kraft will share some cases she has encountered.
There were comparative presentations on Rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) and Ultrasound guided FNA in Nepal and US, followed by a hand-on program on Ultrasound guided FNA of superficial masses.
