Infection Prevention and Control has always been one of the priority areas for NCHRC. Training exercises and CMEs are regular practices for the Unit. Two major programs were organised last year firstly. Dr Reetu Baral conducted two interactive sessions on Antibiotic Stewardship. Secondly with the initiation from Rotary Club Durbarmarg, Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center hosted a professional team of Infection Control Practitioners from Nagoya Prefecture, Japan. We shared and learned much to improve IPC practices and possibly establish an Infection Prevention Control Training Center at NCHRC.
Breast Cancer Awareness Camp at Besisahar, Lamjung. A total of 400 people were screened at this remote location by our expert team. Although Logistically challenging, the Program was well managed.
